Flatgrove Atelier

We design clarity for beginners.

Flatgrove Atelier began as a studio notebook. We translated the way real projects are planned—briefs, constraints, and iterations—into a beginner-friendly course system. Our promise is simple: teach the fundamentals in the cleanest way possible and help you publish your first pieces with confidence.

The name Flatgrove reminds us to keep two ideas in balance: “flat” for modern simplicity and “grove” for steady growth. Together they describe our editorial method—bold typography, thoughtful spacing, and accessible structure.

Editorial method

Start with intent

Every lesson begins with a clear objective and a constraint. Constraints sharpen creativity and make decisions easier.

Practice in public

You’ll ship small artifacts—a title page, a brand color key, a grid draft—so your progress is visible and measurable.

Reflect with checklists

Checklists help you spot hierarchy, spacing, and alignment issues. They are the fastest way to elevate your work.
